South African wedding in Tulbagh, Western Cape

Shooting weddings in South Africa is one of the great joys and adventures of my life.  I love that country so much and can not help, but be blown away every time by it's beauty.  The landscape and people are so unique!

Leah and I had a great time documenting Leigh and Stephen's wedding at Rijk's Country House in Tulbagh.  This little charming town nestled in an ancient volcanic crater was the perfect place for all their family and friends to celebrate with them - and have a little adventurous getaway.

We stayed at the Tulbagh Hotel and enjoyed the little get together they had organized on the Friday night.  We caught up with old friends and made some new ones.  Even met a Canadian girl that gave up the snow for the warm African sun and a very handsome African man.  Imagine that...

I told Leigh the day would fly by, and so it did.  One moment we were busy with getting ready shots and the next, people were giving it on the dance floor, under the African stars. Wine was flowing, 90's rock tunes even inspired this guy to have a little dance with his wife.

My beautiful Leah celebrated her birthday that day as well and I can't thank her enough for offering to work on the day she turned 29 again...

I am featuring a couple of our favourite frames from the day and hope you enjoy reliving the day with us.

Ukrainian Winter Wedding in Winnipeg

From a very wet and rainy London, I am happy to share Rebecca and Andrew's wedding highlights with you guys.

Leah and I both agree that their ceremony was one of the most beautiful we have ever witnessed and documented.  It was filled with so much tradition, family pride, love and the most wonderful choir voices.  It really was very special and we are happy to have had a chance to show our little girl a princess and prince with crowns on...

New Year Eve Winter Wedding in Winnipeg

I am happy to share images from Kayla and James' New Year Eve winter wedding in Winnipeg.  If you were here in Winnipeg on New Years Eve you will remember that it was as cold, really cold. For those of you reading this from a tropical climate - it was as cold as on Mars. For real...

Luckily Kayla and James love the cold and were lucky to have a spectacular winter wedding.  No slush, no blizzard - just pure crisp white cold.

Day After Couple's Session in Ocho Rios, Jamaica

What I love about Destination Weddings  is that we have time to do a Day After session.  Time to go around to different locations in and around the resort or village and get some wicked photos.  Everyone is so relaxed and we can choose the perfect time of day to get the best light.

I went around and scouted a couple locations before the wedding and had an amazing local guide drive us around in Jamaican style! Janique and eric were a bit taken aback by third world driving, but I felt right at home speeding down a s-double lane at 90 Km/hour. LOL!
